Hotel occupancy across The Mandalika reached 100% ahead of the Pocari Sweat Run Lombok 2026, which took place on 11–12 July 2026. The surge in bookings was driven by the strong enthusiasm of approximately 9,000 runners from across Indonesia and overseas who participated in one of the country's leading sport tourism events.

Among the hotels that were fully booked were Raja Kuta Hotel Mandalika, Montana Oceanside Mandalika, and JM Hotel, while occupancy at Pullman Lombok Merujani Hotel and Novotel Lombok Resort & Villas exceeded 90%.
The Mandalika General Manager, Pari Wijaya, said the exceptionally high hotel occupancy reflected a significant increase in visitor arrivals and further reinforced The Mandalika's position as one of Indonesia's premier sport tourism destinations.
"Pocari Sweat Run Lombok was not only a sporting event but also generated a positive impact on tourism activities throughout the area. The high hotel occupancy ahead of the event clearly demonstrated the growing number of visitors travelling to The Mandalika," Pari said prior to the race.
Leading up to the event, ITDC carried out extensive preparations to ensure smooth operations. These included infrastructure improvements, environmental enhancements, rehabilitation of the lighting system—including solar-powered streetlights landscape upgrades, maintenance of public facilities, and strengthened security measures. All operational work was completed before the race, followed by a final inspection with the event organisers.
"We were committed to ensuring that every aspect of the destination from infrastructure and cleanliness to security and visitor services was fully prepared, allowing participants to enjoy a safe, comfortable, and memorable running experience," he said.

To support the event, ITDC deployed 127 personnel, including maintenance staff, electrical technicians, gardeners, and security officers, who remained on standby throughout the race weekend to respond to operational needs.
Meanwhile, Puspita Winawati, Marketing Director of PT Amerta Indah Otsuka, said the second edition of the Pocari Sweat Run Lombok had been designed to deliver an even better participant experience.
"We wanted to offer a unique running experience during both sunrise and sunset, combining the challenge of an international-standard racing circuit with the spectacular coastal scenery that makes Lombok so distinctive," she said.
She also explained that the event had intentionally been scheduled for July to take advantage of Lombok's favourable dry-season weather, providing ideal running conditions for participants.
The 2026 edition ultimately welcomed more than 9,000 runners from across Indonesia and abroad, further strengthening Lombok's reputation as an emerging destination for international sporting events and sport tourism.
